Whether you
are a seasoned runner looking for something fun during the off season,
have a young horse that you'd like to get out before the season starts,
need a little tuning or you are just starting out in the sport, this is
the series for you.
Our Philosophy
This is an Open series and we do not co-sanction with any association
because we want this to be a fun series that people can choose to
attend without feeling pressured to get a head start in points for the
2010 season.
We also do not have separate youth and senior classes because this is a
Winter series and the weather may sometimes be cold, especially if the
sun goes down. We do offer incentives that are run as part of
the Open 4D class instead. This year we have added even more.
Schedule:
Morning Exhibition: 10:00am
– 1:30pm , $4 per run.
Please note:
This Exhibition filled up quickly in 2009. Arrive early to
ensure a spot.
If you are not planning to enter the Open 4D, please enter the
Afternoon Exhibition instead to allow more room for those planning to
compete.
Open Arena: 1:30 – 1:50pm, Absolutely
no running, turning of barrels or stakes during Open Arena. Doing
so will forfeit your spot in the Open 4D.
PEE WEE class to
start immediately prior to Open 4D class. $3 100% Payback +

Open
4D Payoff will go as follows:
1st place in the 1D will get a bonus (see
below) and
then the remainder of the entry fees will be evenly divided across the
divisions (25% in each division if there are riders in each division)
The bonus will be determined by the number of total entries in the 4D
as follows:
0-25 total entries: $25
26-75 total entries: $50
75-99 total entries: $75
100+ total entries: $100
So for example: Say there are 100 riders entered with $500 added.
That's $2500 total
money for payout, the person who is first in the 1D will get $100 (in
addition to the payback) and the remaining money ($2400) will be evenly
split between each division for a total of $600 per division. The
number of slots paying off in each division will be according to the
total number of riders entered in the Open 4D.
Knocked down barrel entry fees will be included in the payoff.
The number of slots paying off in each division will be according to the total
number of entries in the class.
